Nakuru. Mailia Saba. Menengia Crater.

Last weekend we treated ourselves to a night away in Nakuru at Maili Saba.  If you are ever in Kenya, I highly recommend you visit here!  Here are some pics of the resort and the hike we took in the Menengia Crater.

{Some facts on the crater:  It is the second largest crater in Africa; this has been an extinct volcano for over 10,000 years; the highest point is about 2300m above sea level;  Maasai clans still pasture their cattle there today.}

Can you believe this view?

This is the evening view outside of my tent at sunset.  Not too shabby.

    Wow, Ali! The country is beautiful! Glad you’re taking some time to get away and enjoy the beautiful countryside! Can’t wait to see all of your pictures when you return. Enjoy this last week and let it all soak in. We miss you, but know it will be hard for you to leave again.
    Love and hugs…….Mom
